DoLL Chapter 10

After 117 days, the moment 228 people (source: Mangaupdate) have been waiting for, a new release of DoLL!

What about the future of DoLL? Well, Boke (the translator) has told me that the manga is finished, finito. The last chapter is 14, she will translate the rest of the chapters in coming times and I will also finish scanlating it (I just need to get my hands on the rest of the raws).

I'm kinda said about this really, only 14 chapters in total, but I guess it wasn't popular enough in Japan (nor in the rest of the world I guess ^^). Though when it's all over the one thing I won't be missing are the ridicously narrow bubbles, such a pain to typeset those...

Anyway don't expect ch 9 very soon, well not this week anyway. I could finish this chapter so fast because I already worked on it a little bit before when ch 7 was still missing.

Kankinn Ryoujoku chapter 01

I came across this oneshot a few days ago on e-hentai and it was clearly something done in the golden Dos-age, so I decided to make my own version out of it and see how it went. BTW, I don't know how good or accurate these translations are...
If you are familiar with Momoyama Jirou's work then you know he is one disturbed individual, his art is crap but he really has an rich imagination!

I know this manga has been licensed by Seven Seas, infact i took their translations which I got from a badly scanned chapter found on 4chan and put it on a HQ raw I had.

I mainly did it to get some experience and at first I thought it was a brilliant idea... boy was I wrong! What a pain this was, it seems every SFX has a different font, and i'm not good at making those flashy SFX, so you won't see those here ^^ Also whoever thought it would be cool to have transparent bubbles should be hanged! Anyhow, it won't look like work from Lililicious and if you really want quality you should buy the book!

So yeah, I don't know if I want to do the 5th chapter if it's the same as chapter 4.

I still need the raw for chapter 7 so I don't know how long that will take, in the meantime i'll be doing a v2 for chapters 1 and 2. Chapter 2 won't take me long I think, chapter 1 is an whole other story though, might take long :( If by then I still haven't got that damn raw I will probably be doing an yuri-oneshot ^^

And another chapter this week for Doll, didn't expect that did yah? Editing is sometimes no fun at all, mainly when you have a ton of text and a way too small balloon to put it all in :( but I manage it somehow lol.

That picture on the right is not what you think it is lol. What a strange manga this is, I don't think there are any normal men in the world of Doll, they are all sexually frustrated I think lol.

I've got the raws for 8, 9 and even 10 so that's good news, but ch7 is still MIA.

Doll is part of the Okado Tatsuya Hour in Afternoon Magazine, there were 3 stories of which Doll is the only one that is still running, the other 2 are Kayou Gogo 9-ji (Tuesday 9pm) which has been scanlated by an unknown person and Natsu wo Oboeru which hasn't been done yet but i'm planning to do if i can ever find ch01 (i have the other ones).
Kayou Gogo 9-ji is just like everything that Okado does, very weird. It's only 3 chapters long and if you like Doll you will like this.

Not much to say, this is the first time i've used leveling, and it does look alot better like this then with the previous 2 chapters. A note about the sfx (sound effects) not all have been done, not because I didn't want to do them but because they weren't translated so... but i think most are self-explanatory like a running engine, wind etc.

Time for ch2 of Doll. I tried to do a better job with this release, I changed my main font into CHASM and also tried to keep the font size the same (which is hard with the paintshop program i use because you have to do it by hand).

Now it has come to my attention that i have to level the pages, but since i'm not familiar with that (and my old paintshop program doesn't have that option) i will not do that with this chapter, starting from ch3 I will level the pages (by using GIMP).

Because of mistakes I made with ch1 I will be doing a v2 in the near future (probably after I finish ch6).

Furthermore I will quit doing this manga when another scanlation group decides to pick this one up so untill then i will continue with it.

Anyway, thanks again to Boke for her translations and to Tradedaemon for helping me and pointing me in the right direction.

I finally finished the first chapter of DoLL, it's my first time doing this so it probably has alot of editing mistakes ;)

The reason why I choose to do this manga is because of several reasons: First because Boke from mangahelpers had translated this. Second because nobody else has done this manga before and third because I could find the raws for it.

Okay, as for the manga itself, it's pretty funny and it's about a young woman who is going to stay with her former teacher (atleast I think it's her old teacher) and finds by accident his RealDoll, hilarity ensues.

So thanks to Boke for his translations. Anyway just read it and post a comment if you liked my editing job, also post something if you didn't like it ;)
